This is an interesting and unusual Russian desktop timepiece.
The clock has a blue dial face with silver coloured Arabic hour chapters on every hour. The hands are pierced brass and the dial is signed “MajaK” and marked, “Made in USSR, 11 jewels”. The dial has a chromed bezel and the clock is set into fancy quadrant chamfered clear Perspex body measuring approx. 6 ½” diameter.
The clock is supported by two chromed pillars that are held to the bakelite “trophy” base. The clock has a hand set knob and winding lever to the back plate. The backplate is marked FOCT 3309-65 and regulation is through an aperture in the backplate. |
