An American Ogee Clock by Brewster & Ingrahams. c1880’s
This is typical of the Ogee shelf clocks with rectangular shaped mahogany case with ogee molding to the front. The door has two glass panels, a clear panel over the clock face and a reverse painted panel to the lower area. The panel depicting the public square in New haven.
The white dial has Roman hour chapters and heart shaped hands.
This clock has a brass skeletonized weight driven time and strike movement with count wheel striking and striking on a coiled gong.
