This is a red Boulle (brass inlay) and ebonised mantle or table clock
The “waisted” case is topped with a gilt flaming torch
The red Boulle front is complimented with cast brass and gilt floral mounts and feet and a glazed gilt dial bezel with beveled glass
The clock has a four inch white enamel dial that has Arabic numerals
moonphase hands and a pierced gilt floral center
The spring driven brass eight day drum movement has Brocot suspension
and strikes the hour and half hour on a rear mounted bell
The movement is stamped S. Marti, Medaille D’Argent 1889
Movement number 2950. Stamped with crown and ‘B’.
