Mahogany case with foliage moldings to top and to paneled base with brass trim, standing on brass ball feet. The eight inch dial has a convex glazed brass bezel hinged to the right hand side, rear door is also glazed. Sides have brass sound frets over blue silk.

The convex white painted steel dial has Roman chapters, a full minute ring and blued steel hands. The dial is signed James Perrott, Bristol.

The eight day movement with time and strike, anchor escapement and twin fusee, rack striking on a rear mounted bell has five pillars and shaped plates plus pendulum holdfast.
